The dress code is whatever you feel comfortable in – formal attire is preferred for the ceremonies and receptions.

What is a Haldi Ceremony?

The Haldi is a Hindu tradition, typically happening a day or two before the wedding. During the Haldi, the bride and groom are smeared with a paste made from turmeric, usually performed by family members and close friends. The purpose of the Haldi is to cleanse and bless the couple, enhance the bride and groom's skin making them glow for their big day, and bring good luck and ward off any negative energies. Guests are encouraged to wear yellow!

What is a Mehendi ceremony?

The Mehendi ceremony is a pre-wedding ritual that takes place a day or two before the wedding involving the application of henna to the hands, feet, and sometimes even the arms and legs of the bride. It's a fun event filled with music, dancing, and laughter and a chance for you to get small henna designs applied as well!
